NEW RELEASES

Sleeptalking

‘Sleeptalking’ is my newest single from my new project. Co-written and produced by Cade Hoppe we made the song in our home studio in Brooklyn, NY. “Sleeptalking” is a song about struggling in relationships or situations where you feel everything should be perfect, but they aren’t. Sometimes you wish you could be anywhere but in the position where you might hurt someone if you tell them how you really feel, and so you push it all down and hope they’ll get the message somehow.

Girl of your dreams

My second EP ‘Girl of your dreams’ covered a lot of my toxic relationships. Whether with myself or others, this EP is about the growth that came from that part of my life. Featuring ‘Buy her a drink’ as the lead single for the project. Co-written and produced by Cade Hoppe, this is the first project we’ve made together from start to finish. Leaning heavily on synth and samples, this EP is my contribution to the pop girl renaissance.

Deadweight

"Deadweight" is about feeling like a loser and waiting for the person you’re with to figure it out.It was co-written and produced by my boyfriend, Cade Hoppe, who did most of the production with a synth and a sax, and mixed by producer Harper James (of Eighty Ninety).

ruining

‘ruining’ was co-written and produced byCade Hoppe, who produced the track using mostly a JUNO-106 and vocal samples. It’s about my anxiety making me never want to leave the house while simultaneously giving me FOMO. A self-reflective song that I hope people, especially us anxious introverts, can relate to.

SIDE FX

SIDEX FX was co-written and produced by Cade Hoppe. It began as an experiment with new pop sounds and ended in a cathartic hyper-pop song about trying to make something of yourself. Additional production and mix by Harper James.

Heavy Little Things

Heavy Little Things was written with artist and writer Cade Hoppe who also co-produced the track with Harper James, of the band Eighty Ninety. It’s about the struggles we go through that feel small despite their huge impact. It’s about how we minimize our problems. It’s about depression.

I struggled with this one due to how personal the content is. But ultimately I know I am not unique in feeling these ways and I wanted someone out there to feel understood.

Still In Love

“ I made “Still In Love” with the amazing  Laiko and Chedda at shifted studios about a year and a half ago.

At the time, I was honestly tired of being angry or sad. I’d almost finished my EP, which left me with a kind of peace I struggled to describe. It took a bit but eventually I arrived at the phrase “when I’m on my own I’m still in love” and it put everything into perspective for me. About how I was feeling, and how I wanted everybody who has had their heart broken to feel.

As an epilogue of sorts to my recent EP MISS REGENT, “Still In Love” closes a chapter I’m so proud of as an artist. ❤️ “ - Maddie

Debut EP ‘MISS REGENT’

Released on October 1st 2021, “MISS REGENT” arrived with force. The EP takes the listener through a breakup- and the phases of grief that followed. It begins with “SALT,” an honest account of dealing with betrayal, and finishes with “LET IT GO,” a high energy and cathartic anthem about acceptance and looking towards brighter days.

Made with LIONCHLD, Lorraine Lawson and Dajaun Martineau- MISS REGENT marks the beginning of Maddie’s journey in the music industry. Introducing herself as an up and coming pop innovator.

SOMEBODY ELSE

SOMEBODY ELSE is an infectious pop song about realizing the person you love is pining for someone else. Love can be blinding, especially when you’re young, and what may be so obvious to outsiders might be inconceivable to your love drunk heart. This song continues to narrate the journey of heartbreak that follows my 3 most recent singles. It almost parodies the mind of someone who is waking up and finally seeing the truth- the rumination is something I’m very familiar with and I wanted to use that coping mechanism to create the stickiest chorus.

EGO

EGO was made in June 2020 over zoom with close collaborators LIONCHLD. The song is about realizing your narcissistic ex will never admit to their faults, and how although that's hard to accept (enter pointed verses and hard baseline) you’d rather have a broken heart than have no heart at all: “I never want to be like you, cause no-one will be there for you in the end..except for your ego” Maddie sings in the bridge.

OUR HOUSE

OUR HOUSE was made over zoom last summer with LIONCHLD. It uses the analogy of a house to describe how it feels when the rug gets ripped out from underneath you, and you have to exist in this space that doesn’t seem like yours anymore. Influenced by Robyn and Imogen Heap, the song mixes emotional lyrics with an 80’s pop beat that will give people a much needed vibe and cry.

SALT

SALT was the first of many collaborations with writer/production group LIONCHLD. Made on a music trip to L.A in the group’s Van Nuys studio, the song was finished and recorded in a day and a half. Although this song really set the tone for the theme and direction of a possible EP, it was the hurt yet empowered lyrics that drew it to be released as the first single. Upon hearing it for the first time you’re immediately hit with drums that could set up a hard-rock song, and when the soft synths roll in it’s like you’re taking a long drive along the coast in the 40’s. The chorus is meant to feel cathartic to those who’ve been betrayed and had their heart broken by someone’s selfishness. It’s the perfect “scream it in your car as if that person can hear you” song. Magic!
